Opening Splash Screen


If it needs changes, let me know. Almost everything has its own layer in the sketch_opensplash.xcf and can be altered again by me, or anyone with some time. This includes the line around the green glow, which was giving me issues, and the placement of the buttons. The background layer can be reused for our victory and losing screens if desired.

Alpha Coming Up!

For the alpha version of the game due on Thursday. All are found under TeamRTS/Image Gallery/Brain Map/Textures



There are two variants of the bacon map. The one here is the later version.

Neurons overview:


Individual pieces can be found under TeamRTS/Image Gallery/UI in folders N1-N5. There are three stages to each neuron - lighting up supposedly signals a unit passing through.

Tutorials: Single Player game only. In order of gameplay flow with conditions preceding the actual texts.

Region Selection

-Beginning: Click here to select your units.

-Neutral Empty: Click here to drop off your units.

-Hostile: Units automatically fight when dropped into hostile regions. You can move into and out of a combat.

-Owned: Your units can move to any regions next to a region that you own.

-Move it: Constantly move your units forward to capture as many regions as you can.

-Multiple Jump: As long as you own all bridges between these two regions, you can move your units there.

Spell

-Ready: You have a spell ready, click on the icon to use it.

Morphing

-Beginning: Click here to select your units.
-Tier 2: While these units are selected, click the morph button to trade two units for a stronger unit.

-Tier 3: You can also trade three units for an even stronger unit.


Individual Unit Selection
-Beginning: Click here to select your units.

-The Wheel: Motion over units that you want to select, let go, and they will be selected.

Region Buffs

-Captured: You have captured all regions of this lobe, gaining a bonus for all of your units.

Interface Artwork

This post is to be updated with final versions of our interface buttons and icons. Currently [Sky] is working on unit thumbnails, bridge artwork for the map, and a new opening splash screen. There's also a good chance I'll create the loadout screen and cleanup our buff icons/buttons.


 



These thumbnails are to be used for our unit selection system, whether as icons to be "dragged onto" for selection or as indicators of which are currently highlighted. They've been added to the dropbox under TeamRTS --> UI --> UnitThumbnails. Someone needs to make the other units accessible to me before icons for our remaining units can be created. Because blogger adds its own dark box around images uploaded to posts, you'll have to click "edit" as though you were going to make changes to the post or view the actual files in dropbox to see the correct border around these items.

-Icons for all the spell. (see WC3 icons/ ect ) REFER to LIST O DOOM 6 spells. not cobbled, made.
-Teddybear unit, additional assets


Arachnophobia - Done, swarm of spiders on orange background
Meningitis - Done, snail on green background
Blackout - Done plus alternative icon. Outline on cyan background or solar eclipse on purple background
Bipolar Disorder - Done, drama mask on yellow background
Adrenaline - Done, Bear claw to sync with teddy bear.
Brain Freeze - Done, enjoy your braincicle!
