Programmers! Can you send me a list of major features you can feel confident having on the One Pager? Things like multiplayer, AI, etc... Thank you so much!
So far the majority vote has opted to use a hero character, so I would add that to the sheet as well. Also mention randomization of the maps so that object points/items can be utilized for upgrades? And that we want to keep this a fast-paced game where players aren't restrained to the timeframes real-time strategies usually require.
High concept: "Treehouse RTS" (I need some help with the name) Game Theme Overview: The most elaborate capture the flag game ever, set in the backyards of suburbia! The local high school is emptied out as the various cliques gather to duke it out and reign victorious! Lead your gang into battle and prove your worth! (Sums it up.) The X: Comedy RTS (Needs a better presentation) Executive Summary: Platform- Touchscreen phone Rating- Teen Target Audience- Teenagers and Adults
Major Features: Hero Character offers simple interaction for the player and allows players to use differing playstyles through bonuses to their club. Random maps, keep the game interesting through differing numbers of bonuses and neutral units each game. Games last 1-2 minutes, and pacing is fast throughout gameplay.
Sorry I'm doing this today. I know I should have done it yesterday or Tuesday.
As far as Max's asking. 1v1 would be something I think we could manage as well as a Simple AI setup. I'm trying to think of more that wasn't mentioned that I thin would be obtainable for this iteration. All of what I kinda wanted has been posted.
Is this game kinda what we are going for. it is kinda glitchy as far as the hero unit is involved. Faults. -Hero controls glitch the forward progressing units. -I felt that I didn't get enough gold to upgrade everything to the extent I wanted. -Scrolling from one side to the other was kinda bad...really really bad. -I thought there were too many buttons, but they kinda worked -Spells: I liked them though I thought they went overboard with the amount. -Hero unit was fun but controlling where I wanted him was bad. -The unit progression was fun, but I didn't use early units in late game. - Hills made it all glitchy.
My favorite idea is the load-out unit selection before the game. Giving the player so many points to spend to add variety to each game.
